CJP is deeply saddened to learn of the fatal stabbing of Rabbi Itamar Ben Gal by a Palestinian terrorist earlier today. Itamar, a father of four from the Israeli community of Har Bracha, was stabbed repeatedly in the chest outside of Ariel, and died of his wounds shortly thereafter. The assailant fled the scene and a search is currently under way by Israeli security forces.

It is with heavy hearts that we join with our brothers and sisters in Israel to mourn Itamar. May his memory be a blessing, and may his family find comfort among the mourners of Zion.
