One of the most important skills that clergy, staff, greeters/ushers and other lay leaders can develop is the ability to help defuse difficult situations.

CJP is partnering with SOS Security to provide a comprehensive, interactive introduction to de-escalation training with Glenn Leusink, Vice President-Director of Training for SOS Security.

Who should attend?
Clergy, professionals, greeters/ushers, lay leaders, and anyone from your organization who interacts with the public or broader community. As a reminder, please feel free to forward this information to your local law enforcement partners, clergy, and staff from the broader religious community who would benefit from this training.

About the Presenter
Glenn Leusink has been with SOS for 30 years, progressing through a variety of leadership roles. He is retired after 30 years of service from the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, where he served in a variety of law enforcement and instructor roles. Glenn served two tours of active duty, including one in the Middle East where he assisted in coordinating security deployments. He holds an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Sussex County Community College, and has taken additional courses with the Community College of the Air Force.
