One important lesson learned from the attack at Tree of Life Synagogue was that preparation and training can make an important difference when it comes to saving lives. We hope you will join us for this timely discussion with Brad Orsini, Director of Jewish Community Security, Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, and Stephen Weiss, a congregant who was present at the synagogue during the attack. Learn more about the ways in which the training the community received helped to save lives that day.

Who should attend?
Clergy, professionals, greeters/ushers, lay leaders, and anyone from your organization who interacts with the public or broader community. As a reminder, please feel free to forward this information to your local law enforcement partners, clergy, and staff from the broader religious community who would benefit from this training.

These free sessions will be facilitated by Jeremy Yamin, CJP’s Associate Vice President, Director of Security & Operations. In addition to managing security at CJP’s Kraft Family Building in Boston, Jeremy provides no-cost security consultations, assessments, and training to the Jewish community. He maintains close working relationships with law enforcement agencies throughout the state, some of whom will join us at the sessions.

This session will be followed by a panel discussion comprised of security experts from the FBI, Canton Police Department, CJP, and others.
