The Accountants Group at Combined Jewish Philanthropies is a community of Greater Boston accounting professionals who want to connect with Jewish culture and values, and with each other. As we enter our second year, the Group will build on last year’s success and plan interesting and timely events for the 2010 Campaign year and provide more leadership and volunteer opportunities specifically for accountants.
Past Event:
On the evening of January 20, 2010, five hundred Boston area lawyers and accountants gathered at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel for CJP's Annual Lawyers & Accountants Dinner. The evening began with an hour long networking cocktail reception, followed by the beautiful singing of Hatikvah (Israel's national anthem) by 12 year old Afanasy Prokhorov, an immigrant to Boston from Russia. Bill Gabovitch and Scott Gilefsky were honored with the Community of Excellence Awards and attendees were thrilled to hear from keynote speaker Kenneth Feinberg, Special Master for TARP Compensation, who spoke on "Executive Compensation: Challenges & Pitfalls."
