Description: 

The Vice President of Marketing manages all marketing, branding, communications, public relations, direct marketing, and event management for Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP).

We are looking for a creative and seasoned professional to deepen the CJP brand, grow awareness of CJP's philanthropic and programming offerings, expand the use of new media and increase the role of online strategies in our marketing mix.

The successful candidate will be a talented communicator and a results-oriented team player who is driven by our mission, focused on how marketing can increase our efficiency and reach, and moved by growing the organization and its people to their fullest potential.

The VP of Marketing reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is a member of CJP's Executive Team, helping to determine and execute overall organizational strategy.

Job Requirements and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of marketing leadership. Knowledge of and experience with all aspects of marketing, communications, online marketing, new media, and public relations.

• Articulate, with proven ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing; strong graphic design sense. Solid skills in market research, data analysis, and measurement.

• Good under pressure and in crisis management, including PR management. Impeccable personal and professional integrity, with an ability to inspire confidence and collaboration.

• Capacity to work with a wide variety of internal and external clients, including Board members, CJP volunteers and professionals from our partner agencies.

• Experience with Jewish institutions or fundraising a plus but not required. (Crossovers from the "for-profit" world welcome.)

• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
